Patty Turney Earns Master Advertising Specialist
Patty Turney, President and CEO of the Augusta Group, joins elite group of promotional product professionals who have earned their Master Advertising Specialist (MAS). As of January 31, 2007 only 610 out of more 100,000 professionals employed in the promotional products industry are MAS certified. She joins her husband and Executive Vice President, Bill, as an MAS, making The Augusta Group one of the very few companies to have two MAS certified professionals.

Turney on board of promotional products association
Bill Turney, Executive Vice President of The Augusta Group, was elected to the Board of Directors of the Houston Promotional Products Association and named Chairman of the Membership Committee in December 2005 and elected Vice President in 2007 and President in 2008.

The Augusta Group owners earn Industry Certification
Patty and Bill Turney, President and Executive Vice President of The Augusta Group respectively, both earned the only recognized credentials in the promotional products industry. In October 2004, Patty became a Certified Advertising Specialist (CAS) and Bill was certified as a Master Advertising Specialist (MAS). Administered by Promotional Products Association International (PPAI), these certifications signify that they have reached and continue to meet a higher standard of professionalism, knowledge, and experience within the industry. PPAI President Steve Slagle remarked that "their efforts will contribute to the continued excellence in services offered to their clients."

The Augusta Group named Business of the year-2004
The Economic Alliance-Houston Port Region named The Augusta Group as Business of the Year in November 2004. The Alliance, a consortium of 14 Chambers of Commerce recognized this certified woman-owned small business corporation for their creative ideas, quality products, and reliable service.

The Augusta Group receives Gold Award
One of The Augusta Group's embroidery designs was selected for the 2003 Promotional Products Association International's (PPAI) Gold Award for excellence in embroidery. The winning entry, "Houston: Space City, USA," was created as a full jacket embroidery design on a black leather and wool varsity-style jacket. The award-winning design totaled 170,000 stitches covering over 150 square inches with 37 color changes. The award was officially announced to the industry and awarded at the 2004 PPAI Expo in Las Vegas in January 2004.
